What about this Medici chair by Mattiazzi? To me it looks like something you might sit on when out on the deck of a fancy pacific resort. When sitting at a table. And be happy as a clam. Although, I am not sure it could stand up to the weather for long.

I don’t know if you have been to Deus Ex Machina cafe, but it is one of my favourites. It has long been in one of the Sheds on Wellesley Street, an area which is now called City Works Depot. Anyway, it has a new awning outside and I like it. I hope you like it too.

Green and Oak

If you like coffee and are in St Heliers, then you should check out St Heliers Bay Cafe and Bistro. Apart from the great view of the ocean, I love the glossy green tiles on the rear wall and the oak (or ash?) all around the place. Fancy.

Reflection

It is a surprisingly hard thing to find a cool new mirror. Most are overly ornate. When the reflected surface, which can bring in light or give depth to a room, is beautiful enough. I have just been introduced to the Only Me from Kartell. Usually a believer in colour, in this case I like the clear white. I would like to have it.

A snow globe of a coal fueled power station. But the snow is an ashy smog. A comment by Ctrl.Alt.Shift on the threat to the climate from burning coal. Disturbingly poignant.
